Assignment: Platform Wars: Will Android allow the IT industry to Seize the Mobile Value Chain?
What are open platforms and open networks, and why are they important? New operating systems such as Android & LiMo appear to be more than just new technologies. Do they really challenge the current mobile network operator business model by turning the mobile terminal into a mobile applications platform rather than a services terminal?
